Department of Nephrology

The Nephrology Department at Ali Fatima Hospital is run by highly trained medical staff who possess the expertise and advanced skills to treat all diseases related to the kidney. Our expert team of Nephrologists, dialysis technicians and state-of-the-art diagnostic and medical equipment, enables us to provide treatment for simple as well as complex Nephrological conditions. We have a dedicated Nephrology ward and a 5 bedded well equipped dialysis centre. The medical ICU is also equipped with dialysis facility which enables us to provide best possible care to our patients. We are among the 6 centres offering CAPD across Pakistan and one of the 3 in Lahore for Interventional procedures. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Riaz

ISN-Fellow (Interventional Nephrology & Peritoneal Dialysis)

He is Assistant Professor and head of Nephrology Department at Abu Umara Medical & Dental College. He’s is a young energetic fellow with a keen interest in Interventional Nephrology and Peritoneal Dialysis.

He did his MBBS from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad and got his FCPS in the field of Nephrology from College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan (CPSP). After getting highest degree in the field of Nephrology from Pakistan he went abroad and got fellowship in Interventional Nephrology and Peritoneal Dialysis from Peking University, Beijing. The Peking University ranks first in China and Asia Pacific.

He has an honor of establishing first ever dedicated unit of Peritoneal Dialysis in Pakistan. He’s also the founding member of the “Peritoneal Dialysis academy of Pakistan.” He has conducted various hands-on workshops on Peritoneal dialysis. He is amongst the handful of Nephrologists in Pakistan who are skilled in Interventional Nephrology.
